Taapsee Pannu announces Rashmi Rocket release date on OTT, shares unmissable poster

Yet another Taapsee Pannu film is getting an OTT release! After Haseen Dillruba (Netflix) and Anabelle Sethupathi (Disney+ Hotstar), the actor's upcoming film Rashmi Rocket will directly stream on ZEE5. The actor plays the role of an athlete in the film and it will release on October 15, 2021. Taapsee announced it in a fun way by playing a game on Instagram. Soon after that, she shared the official poster of the film featuring herself along with her co-stars Abhishek Banerjee and Priyanshu Painyuli.

Taapsee wrote, "ये चुनौतियों भरी race शुरू हो चुकी है और अब रावण दहन पे ही आके रुकेगी । बहुत कुछ नष्ट करना है रश्मि को इस साल ।

Get ready to run with Rashmi in this race on and off the track. She will need you in this one. #RashmiRocket ready to take off on 15th October 2021 only on @zee5."

Rashmi Rocket is directed by Akarsh Khurana, while Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya are the producers. 

The film is about an athlete from Gujarat and the shoot took place extensively in Pune and Kutch. 

As per reports in Indian Express, RSVP Movies had described Taapsee's character as "Her simplicity is her greatest strength! Rashmi is coming to share her journey."

They also tweeted, "An eye that’s aiming for the finish line will see through all odds! Rashmi is here to inspire you with her journey."

Rashmi Rocket also features Shweta Tripathi in a pivotal role. 

Interestingly, three of Mirzapur actors namely Shweta, Abhishek and Priyanshu are a part of the upcoming film. 

Talking about the director of the film Akarsh Khurana, he is popular for his work on OTT platforms including TVF Tripling as a writer, as an actor in Yeh Meri Family and he also directed the Netflix series Mismatched.
