Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for the release of her upcoming thriller, Looop Lapeta. The film seems like one of the more unconventional films Pannu has chosen to be a part of and the actress recently talked about just what makes the film such a distinct one.

In a conversation with Mid-Day, the Rashmi Rocket star expressed her excitement at the news of her film getting a premiere on Netflix, calling it the perfect movie for OTT audiences to enjoy due to its experimental nature.

Pannu goes on to call the film one of the quirkiest films in the comedy genre that she has ever seen in Indian cinema. The actress adds that the story was so unusual, she found it difficult to classify it under a particular genre. It is a film that has to be watched keeping an open mind, she adds.

Looop Lapeta is a remake of the German cult film Run Lola Run which was released in 1998. Starring Franka Potente, the film tells the story of a young woman who races against time to collect a huge sum of money to save her boyfriend.

In addition to Pannu, Looop Lapeta also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film is the directorial debut of Aakash Bhatia and is produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment and Aayush Maheshwari.

Looop Lapeta will premiere on Netflix. However, a release date is yet to be announced.
