Taapsee Pannu cheers for ‘Jijaji’ Nick Jonas as he performs with brothers Joe and Kevin at Lollapalooza 2024

Lollapalooza is a two-day musical event hosted by the Mahalaxmi Racecourse of Mumbai for the 2024 edition. According to BookMyShow, the event will occur on January 27 and 28, and the impressive lineup of artists includes both Western and Indian performances from the starry likes of Sting, Halsey, rapper JPEGMAFIA and Anoushka Shanker, When Chai Met Toast, Jatayu, and Komorebi, among many others.

Nick Jonas, and his brothers Kevin and Joe, also performed on the first day, along with Indian artist King for a collab song. The Jonas brothers set the stage on fire with their rocking performances and the audience grooved to his Maan Meri Jaan x Afterlife with King, shrieking themselves hoarse with the chants of “Jiju, Jiju, Jiju” . How could the Bollywood artists attending the party resist? Even Taapsee Pannu joined in the fun, albeit on social media.

The Dunki star posted a story of her savouring some ice cream and enjoying the electrifying performances belted out by ‘jiju’ Nick Jonas and his brothers. The actress was dressed in a suave denim jumpsuit that further accentuated her figure before ending in billowy pant hems. Her curly carefree hair danced across her back, while her fresh-faced natural makeup only got further highlighted by her joy.

The story, captioned, “Jijaji stage pe hai!!!!” echoed the sentiments of the masses thronging closer to the stage. Just like Amitabh Bachchan stirs the emotions of Bengalis, being their ‘jamai’ or son-in-law, as his wife Jaya is considered a daughter of Bengal, similarly Nick Jonas marks an iconic 'jijaji' or ‘brother-in-law' moment for all Indians enjoying the show while he lent his voice to the Hindi Maan Meri Jaan.

How did their rest of the evening turn out?

While Taapsee Pannu had an enjoyable evening out with her group of friends, the Jonas brothers made their way straight to the glamorous afterparty thrown by Natasha Poonawalla, socialite and spouse of Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India. She is often seen mingling with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Leonardo DiCaprio at international parties.
