Shah Rukh Khan was referred to as a "superstar" by Taapsee Pannu, who also said that his success and failure are personal, which is the definition of true fame. In a recent interview, she revealed that she told Shah Rukh that he serves as the baseline for any outsider beginning their career in the Hindi film industry. She also discussed how current success and failure have an impact on her.

For the first time, Taapsee will appear alongside Shah Rukh in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. On December 22, 2023, the movie, supported by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, will open in theatres. Both Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon wrote the script.

Taapsee explained to Pinkvilla that she had informed SRK that, particularly for those from Delhi, he serves as the standard or figurehead for all outsiders. Although he is a superstar, she is not, and she doesn't think one fully understands the risks associated with success or stardom when they work with celebrities or superstars like him. That is when Shah Rukh hadn't released anything in the previous five years, but just one of his moves would start a storm anywhere. Being a celebrity means that his wins and losses are deeply personal and not what he feels like.

Additionally, she discussed successes and failures, saying that success often leads to many other things, especially in India. It teaches one to not take their accomplishments or setbacks too seriously. So she has discovered that she hasn't always been a good loser. When she plays board games, her family still refers to her as a "sore loser." She is a really bad loser, and she thinks she's a much worse winner. However, she feels as though she has improved in her professional life because she no longer reacts as passionately to success or failure. It's not that it doesn't bother her; it still does a little bit, but she has gotten better at handling it.

Srijit Mukerji's Shabaash Mithu, starring Taapsee, was released on July 15. One of India's most well-known female cricketers, Mithali Raj, is profiled in the movie along with her achievements and career highs and lows. Shabaash Mithu, written by Priya Aven, is a coming-of-age tale that also focuses on Mithali's contribution to the expansion of women's cricket in India.

Anurag Kashyap's upcoming thriller, Do Baara, is also in the works.
