Dobaaraa, directed by Anurag Kashyap, will have its world premiere on June 23 at the London Film Festival's opening gala. Taapsee Pannu is expected to play the lead role. In the thriller, Pannu will be seen with co-star Pavail Gulati from Thappad.

Taapsee commented in response to being directed by Anurag Kashyap once more that she believes she had no break in between. Since Manmarziyaan, the actor feels like they have been in touch frequently. It seems like a continuation of the settings after Thappad. The actor said that it didn't feel like there was a delay in between. It didn't feel like they were working up after a hiatus or were disconnected, and she was looking forward to working with them more and more. Even after Dobaara, they have been in continuous communication.

At the prestigious festival's opening night gala, Taapsee and the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will premiere the movie.

Dobaaraa is billed as a new-age thriller and is produced by Sunir Kheterpal and Gaurav Bose of Athena and Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor's Cult Movies (a new division under Balaji Telefilm). It is the official Hindi adaptation of Mirage, a 2018 Spanish-language film directed by Oriol Paulo.

In addition to Dobaaraa, Taapsee will appear in Shabaash Mithu, a film based on the life of cricket hero Mithali Raj, who not only reinvented the gentleman's game in India but also internationally.

The trailer for the film, directed by Srijit Mukerji, came out on Monday. The film is co-produced by Ajit Andhare and is set to hit the big screens on July 15, 2022.

Taapsee also has Blurr, which marks her debut as a producer under her home banner, Outsiders Films. The film is the Hindi remake of the Spanish film, Julia's Eyes. The thriller is directed by Ajay Bahl and features Gulshan Devaiah as the male lead.
