Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is without a doubt one of the most popular and successful sitcoms on Indian television. The crew and the complete star cast recently celebrated the show's 14th anniversary. Over the course of its lengthy 14-year existence, the popular sitcom has gone through many ups and downs, but it has continuously been able to recover in the TRP rankings. However, there is yet another tragic piece of information coming from the TMKOC sets. Malav Rajda, the show's director, has made the decision to leave Taarak Mehta.

Malav Rajda confirmed quitting the show in an interview with Hindustan Times and addressed rumours that he was leaving because of issues with the production company. If you set out to make good work, there will be creative disagreements within the crew, but it's always to improve the show, Malav told the portal. I didn't have any issues with the producing company. He also added that he is solely grateful for the show and Asit bhai (Modi, the program's producer).

Speaking of the reason for leaving the show, Rajda added, “After doing the show for 14 years, I thought I had gone into a comfort zone. I thought to grow creatively it’s best to move out and challenge myself.” Concluding his conversation and summarising his experience of working with the team for the past 14 years, he asserted, “These 14 years have been the most beautiful years of my life. I not only earned fame and money but also got my life partner Priya (Ahuja Rajda, actor-wife) from this show.”

Neha Mehta, Raj Anadkat, and Shailesh Lodha are just a few of the actors that have left the Sab TV show in the recent years. Rajda was the latest to quit. Rajda's wife Priya Ahuja, who plays Rita Reporter in the show, is reportedly also thinking about leaving it, according to the Hindustan Times report.
