What's the story behind Rs 21 lakhs?

Bhide came across a cheque with no name but just an account number. It was a cheque of Rs. 21 lakhs. They were suspicious at first and even thought that Jethalal’s brother-in-law Sunder who donated the big amount, which obviously was not the case. The members dismissed their doubts once Jethalal said that it might be a new account, and Babita said that the person would want to remain anonymous. The members are now in the bank to deposit the very cheque. Three people - Bhide, Iyer and Jethalal - came together because it is a huge amount.

What happened in the previous episode of TMKOC?

The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations continued on TMKOC. Jethalal got late to go to the bank, and Iyer-Bhide had to go to his house to get him to leave. Jethalal refused to take responsibility for the same, and said that he’s on time, since the manager himself would get free only after 10 am. Bhide, however, got him out of the house before 9.30 am itself by stating that the Mumbai traffic cannot be trusted. Thus, they finally reached the bank on time.
