The announcement of the first single Tabaahi from Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups came late on February 27, 2026 with a date reveal and a poster featuring Yash carrying ‘a’ leading lady around. Given that the actress’ face was not revealed, netizens debated about who it could be, even though, the promotional content from the team’s marketing team later clarified it is Kiara Advani. The song, composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, would be out on March 2, it was said, but the exact time was not mentioned, until now.
When and where to watch Tabaahi, the first single from Toxic
A little while ago, a new poster, this time clearly featuring Kiara and Yash was released, along with the drop time, 12.59 pm on March 2, along with details of the lyricists in the different language versions of the song. Netizens had wondered if the team was only releasing a Hindi version, considering it is called Tabaahi. The Kannada version of the song has been written by Yogaraj Bhat, while Vignesh Shivan did it in Tamil, Ramjogayya Sastry in Telugu, Rafeeq Ahammed in Malayalam and Raj Shekar in Hindi.
The poster features Yash in his Raya get-up, which had led to speculation that Kiara will also play mother to the actor’s second character Ticket. Not much is known about Toxic at the moment, but for vignettes from a leaked plot summary that the story is set between the 1940s and 70s in Goa, following Raya’s brutal journey to establishing his empire. In keeping with its tagline, the film will likely be A-rated in India, with all indications so far hinting at an 18+ rating.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has been cowritten by the filmmaker and Yash. The cast also includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Sudev Nair, Darrren D’silva, Kyle Paul, Balaji Manohar, Akshay Oberoi, among others. Tovino Thomas is widely rumoured to be one of the main antagonists pitted against a young Raya. The trailer of the film is expected to be released on March 8, 2026.
