Tabu is noted for being extremely picky about her roles, resulting in an impressive resume and the runaway smash, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is the most recent addition to her filmography. Although the horror-comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani may not be Tabu's cup of tea, she enjoyed the experience of playing two roles.

The actor told Mid Day that it was difficult to play this part. Technically and cinematically, it was a struggle. One must act for two people in front of the motion-control camera, so their positioning must be accurate. It was challenging for both her and the director of photography. They wanted to add some fresh dimensions to the scenes. When filming these sequences, they had to think about a lot of things.

Tabu stands out as an exception in an industry that is ready to typecast its actors. She looks equally at ease in a Mira Nair film as she does in Anees Bazmee's masala entertainer.

The actor said that no one had been able to put me in a box. Various filmmakers have approached her, believing that she is the right fit for the role being offered, and Tabu has attempted to live up to that expectation. The actor doesn't have a fixed vision of herself in my mind. In her view, she has never typecast myself. Exploring new characters is definitely more intriguing for her.

Tabu has rarely gone wrong in her quest for new places and intriguing tales. Most of her films have been hits, whether it's a comedy like Golmaal Again (2017), a crime thriller like AndhaDhun (2018), or an actioner like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020). One guesses it's that discerning eye for scripts at work. Tabu, on the other hand, claims to act only on instinct. The actor said that it's impossible to study the creative process. One doesn't know if a story will work or not, even after over-analyzing it. They can't make a hit movie by analysing it.

Thinking will take a backseat after a while, and one's perspective and creative instincts will take over. When she is shooting, Tabu is completely present in the moment.
