The legendary actor gained worldwide recognition and fame for playing the leading roles in commercial blockbusters Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and The Bodyguard. Both films are still widely popular, partly due to the success of the original soundtracks for both films - Everything I Do by Bryan Adams for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and I Will Always Love by the late Whitney Houston for The Bodyguard, who also played the female lead.

Costner’s most acclaimed film, however, was the 1992 film Dance With Wolves, in which he was the lead and director. He was only nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor but won two Academy Awards Best Director and Best Picture for the film. More recently he appeared in Zack Snyder’s Justice League trilogy as Superman’s adoptive father, Jonathan Kent, and for playing the lead in the critically acclaimed TV series, Yellowstone.
