Talking Star Srujan Lokesh, best known for his popular comedy reality show Majaa Talkies, who was last seen on the big screen in Selfie Mummy Google Daddy, has just announced his next. Srujan, who had turned producer in 2019 with Ellide Illi Tanaka, the debut venture under his home banner Lokesh Productions, will direct and act in the as-yet-untitled horror-comedy that will be a joint venture with Sandesh Productions.

Srujan took to social media to announce the same. “With the blessings of senior producer "Sandesh Nagaraj" a new endeavor has started. New film production under "Lokesh Productions" and "Sandesh Productions", more details coming soon. My first attempt as a director. May your wishes always be with us,” he posted, along with an image of him and Sandesh at the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru.

Speaking to the media after his temple visit, Srujan said that direction has been a long-time dream of his, a skill set he has been honing during the making of Majaa Talkies. Srujan has written a story, which he ran by Sandesh, who liked the same, following which a discussion to collaborate on its making came up. The actor acknowledges that acting, directing and producing will be a tough task, but it’s a challenge that he is more than willing to take up, as it will see him following in the footsteps of his late grandfather, Subbaiah Naidu, and late father, Lokesh.

Srujan, who has been busy with judging duties on shows like Raja Rani, Nannamma Superstar and Gicchigiligili, among others, had launched an official YouTube page for his banner, where he and his family, including his mother, veteran actress Girija Lokesh, sister Pooja Lokesh, wife Greeshma, and son Sukruth, present fun skits about day-to-day life in their household. The idea, says Srujan, is to develop it into a reality show for OTT.
