The shoot for Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer is going in full swing. The latest we hear about the film is that Tamanaah has joined the sets. The actress recently dropped a BTS video where the team seems to be prepping for a scene. The film's director Nelson Dilipkumar is seen walking around overseeing the goings-on. There had been a lot of speculations about Tamanaah being part of the film, right from the outset. But it was only recently that the team had confirmed her presence by dropping her character's look from the film.

An excited Tamanaah, too, shared her happiness at being part of the film and had written on her social media handle, "Finally I can share this with you all… the news is out!!! I am soo sooo happy and honoured to be a part of this movie #Jailer with the one and only Thalaivar @rajinikanth sir directed by @nelsondilipkumar Can’t wait to share this experience with all of you… (sic)."

The film has roped in popular stars from different film industries, including Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal, Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff and Telugu star Sunil. The supporting cast includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Redin Kingsley, Jaffer Siddique, Sadhu Kokila and Vasanthan. Jailer marks Shiva Rajkumar's debut in the Tamil film industry (The actor has now signed Dhanush's Captain Miller as well).

While Anirudh is scoring the music for the film, Vijay Karthik Kannan is handling the camera and R Nirmal is handling the editing. Stun Siva choreographed the stunt sequences. And it looks like the film will have some heavy-duty stunts and Rajiinikanth as Jailer Muthuvel Pandian will kick some storms. Jailer is being bankrolled under Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures' banner. The film marks Rajinikanth's maiden collaboration with Nelson Dilipkumar, who had earlier directed films like Kolamavu Kokila, Doctor and Beast.
