Tamannaah and Suresh Gopi to star in Dileep’s next with Ramaleela director Arun Gopy?

Ramaleela and Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu director Arun Gopy is gearing up for his next with Dileep and if reports are to be believed, the filmmaker has pulled off a casting coup for his third directorial.

The upcoming movie, which is scripted by Pulimurugan and Aaraattu writer Udaykrishna, will mark actress Tamannaah’s Malayalam debut, according to reports. While there has been no official confirmation yet from the team, the buzz within the industry is that the Baahubali actress has been approached to play the female lead in the big-budget movie and has given the nod.

But that’s not the only big casting news from the movie. Apparently, Suresh Gopi too is in discussions to play a major role in the entertainer, which had its script locked after the first pandemic lockdown. Suresh Gopi and Dileep had previously worked together in movies such as Thenkasipattanam, Christian Brothers and Manathe Kottaram, which had Dileep in his first major role.

Indrajith Sukumaran and Arjun Ashokan are also reportedly part of the multi-starrer, which is set to go on floors by the end of this year. While Indrajith will be shooting for Mohanlal and Trisha’s Ram for most of September, Suresh Gopi is expected to begin work either on Ottakkomban or Jayaraj’s Highway 2, depending on which project completes its pre-production work first.

Dileep, meanwhile, is currently shooting for Raffi’s big budget venture Voice of Sathyanathan, which is also an entertainer. The film, which also has Joju George and Veena Nandakumar, marks Anupam Kher’s comeback to Malayalam cinema after a gap. The movie is currently being filmed in Mumbai.

Dileep is expected to begin shooting for Parakkum Pappan, which is touted as a desi superhero film, after he wraps up his portions of Voice of Sathyanathan. He will begin work on Arun Gopy’s film only after these two projects.
