After starting her acting career at the tender age of 15, Tamannaah Bhatia has already been working for twenty years and claims to be enjoying "the happiest phase" of her career. A Prime Video original starring Diana Penty, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Nakuul Mehta, Daring Partners is one of her most anticipated productions of the year. According to Bhatia, the show's storyline provides "humour and heart" as it follows two best friends as they create a business in the male-dominated alcohol market.
While she has tried a lengthy format before, Bhatia (Veeram, Entertainment, Aagadu) told Mid Day that this show has been extremely close to her heart. She goes on to say that she had to prepare a lot for the role. The actor shared that despite being in the enjoyable and fun category, it manages to evoke tremendous emotions; the charisma of sitcoms used to be different. In the context of OTT platforms, she has not observed much of that difference. Bhatia added that either the tone or the substance is off-kilter now and if one is looking for an entertaining and emotionally impactful show, this could be it.
She is confident that Daring Partners will debut this year, despite the lack of an exact date announcement. The actor also said that working women are often portrayed in an exaggerated or stereotypical light, but the show strives to provide a more realistic representation of them. Even powerful women come in a variety of shapes and sizes, a stereotype that has been perpetuated. She revealed that the audience will witness strong women navigating the workplace, life, and stereotypes in a realistic and authentic manner. It will be a genuine portrayal of that.
Bhatia recently performed at the Zee Cine Awards by paying homage to memorable dance sequences featuring women in Hindi cinema. She explained that this was her way of paying tribute to the ladies who came before her, who danced to such powerful numbers.
Bhatia feels more certain in her work now that she has been working at it for 20 years. Since the age of 15, she has been performing for the camera. Many have witnessed her maturation from teen to middle-aged woman. She expresses her joy at the opportunity to reveal a new side of herself to them. According to artists around the world, it takes 20 years for a person to truly be born, which has always baffled her.
