While the chatter around the new Bollywood couple Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma continues, the latter has disclosed how he reacted when his lady-love told him that she decided to break her no-kiss clause from a contract that she maintained for her every film for more than 17 years.

Vijay recently said during a media interview that he first met Tamannaah during a reading at Sujoy Ghosh’s office, since they were both a part of the Lust Stories 2 segment directed by Sujoy.

The Gully Boy actor said, "I think we broke the ice there and we shared our journey. She told me that she has been working for 17 years and has a no-kiss policy as part of her contract. She then told me that she had not done anything like this before, before saying that I was the first actor she was going to be kissing onscreen. And I said, ‘Thank you’."

Vijay and Tamannaah recently made their relationship official after months of speculation.

Vijay is popular for starring in web series like A Suitable Boy, She, Mirzapur, Ok Computer, and Dahaad and films like Pink, Gully Boy, and Darlings.

Tamannaah has had an extensive career in South Indian films and became a national name with the blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films since 2005.

She has also starred in Hindi projects like Babli Bouncer, Plan A Plan B, and Jee Karda.

Going public with her relationship with Vijay, Tamannaah told Film Companion, "He’s a person who I care about deeply, and yeah, he’s my happy place."

Lust Stories 2 also stars Neena Gupta, Kajol, Mrunal Thakur, Kumud Mishra, Amruta Subhash, and Angad Bedi. It will be available to stream on Netflix starting June 29.
