Tanaav season 2 has come to an end and with it, there's a new twist in the storyline. Manav Vij's Kabir Farooqui is no longer Kabir. His identity switch from Kabir to Ashfaq will take you back to the times of Gyeongseong Creature season 2. Here's how...
Towards the end of Tanaav season 2, Kabir Farooqui has adapted a new name. He is now Ashfaq. But, despite using this name for a year straight, he is still not used to it. Thus, when he is called out as Ashfaq sir, Kabir does not respond till the second time around. In fact, he is literally living in hiding with his hoodie on while having a boxing match with the punching bag.
Back in Gyeongseong Creature S2, Park Seo-jun's Jang Tae-sang lost his memories and thus, he did not know what his real identity his. While he did go through moments where he felt like his life was something else and not Jang Ho-jae, it never really struck him that he is the royal Tae-sang, till he found the love of his life, Chae-ok (Han So-hee). While in Tanaav, Kabir is aware of the identity switch, we might just see some similar elements, the main being taking a new identity (one which was not a part of Fauda season 2).
Tanaav season 2 ending has hinted at a new mission. The series is the Indian adaptation of the popular Israeli series Fauda. Thus, one can be certain that we will get more seasons of Tanaav (Fauda has five seasons so far). Towards the end of Tanaav 2, a boy called out to 'Ashfaq' which is Kabir's current alias. With it, the child said that somebody is out to meet Kabir. Flashback to Tanaav season 1, where Kabir was called back from his break because Umar Riaz (Sumit Kaul) was alive. Is Tanaav season 3 going to be a deja vu of that? Well, Tanaav 2 ending definitely hints at it!
Two seasons of Sudhir Mishra's Tanaav are now available for streaming on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium. The most recent - Tanaav season 2 Volume 2 - released a few hours ago and is just as acclaimed as the first season.
