The Telugu devotional drama stars Vinay Raj Dundhigal, Pandrala Lakshmi and Ranga Basha in key roles

Just when one perceived that the devotional drama genre is more or less dead in Telugu cinema, we'll have a film based on Lord Vishnu, titled Sri Ranganayaka, hitting theatres in the coming weeks. Vinay Raj Dundhigal, Pandrala Lakshmi and Ranga Basha essay pivotal roles in the film directed by Venkata Reddy Nandi. Niharika Chowdary, Lenkala Ashok Reddy play supporting roles in the drama produced by Ramavath Mangamma under Govinda Raj Vishnu films. Sri Ranganayaka is currently wrapping up censor formalities.
The first look, teaser and poster were launched in the presence of actor Tanikella Bharani, director Samudra, Prasanna Kumar, Damodar Prasad, Dorai Raju, Koppili Srinivas among others at Telangana Film Chamber, Hyderabad recently. The lead actor Vinay Raj expressed his happiness about making his acting debut with the role of Lord Vishnu and conveyed his gratitude to his family for pulling off this film's production.
The filmmaker Venkata Reddy said that actor Suman was the first choice to play Lord Vishnu in the film, who couldn't take it up owing to his busy schedule. Impressed by Vinay Raj's personality, the director cast him in the role. Venkata Reddy also showered praise upon Ranga Basha, who plays the devotee of Lord Vishnu in the film. "I'm confident of the film and the songs have come out well too," he added.
Ranga Basha, Lenkala Ashok Reddy and Pandrala Lakshmi thanked the director, producer for the opportunity to be a part of Sri Ranganayaka. Tanikella Bharani, Samudra, Dorai Raju appreciated the team for their efforts in taking up a devotional drama and wished best for its success. D Yadagiri has cranked the camera for the film with Drums Ramu scoring the music. N Rama Krishna Reddy has written the story while M Ganesh has penned the dialogues.
