Tanvi The Great: Arvind Swami joins cast as braveheart Major Srinivasan in Anupam Kher's directorial

Veteran actor Anupam Kher's directorial effort Tanvi The Great is slated to include actor and filmmaker Arvind Swami. The makers of the film just revealed the actor's character poster, showing that he plays the role of Major Srinivasan. The casting of Swami, who has made significant contributions to films in both Tamil and Hindi, has sparked excitement among moviegoers and industry insiders.

Tanvi The Great ensemble cast and thematic essence

Along with Swami, the ensemble features Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Iain Glen, and Shubhangi. According to the production crew, the film is about optimism, kindness, tenacity, and the triumph of the human spirit; it also represents another major milestone in Kher's career as a director.

Swami stated, referring to his role in the film, that it was such a pleasure to work with Kher as a director. The actor-filmmaker has a strong connection to this issue, and Swami is grateful for the opportunity to contribute even in a little way to this initiative. The actor said that hope, compassion, tenacity, and the triumph of the human soul are the themes of this film. He added that the film's sensitive director, who directed it with care, coaxed outstanding performances from its exceptionally gifted cast. Swami feels privileged to have contributed to this.

Anupam Kher recalls bond with Arvind Swami

Taking to social media, Kher praised Swami's performance in the film and recalled their friendship, both of which have endured for many years. The actor-filmmaker was astounded by the youthful and charismatic Swamy's performance in Roja the first time I saw him. The next thing Kher knew, he was seeing him in Bombay. In his opinion, that marked the beginning of a new era for Indian cinema as a singular performer emerged.

They didn't shoot Saath Rang Ke Sapne till much later. Thus, he has made a lifelong buddy who is absolutely reliable and trustworthy. Therefore, when Kher was casting for Tanvi the Great on the part of Major Srinivasan, no one else crossed my mind. The director added that the film portrays Swami as a towering figure of bravery, fortitude, and strength, Major Srini. 

Kher was filled with pride at the actor's performance. They are all made to feel respected, safe, and secure by the Indian Army. He addressed Swamy and said that he is eternally grateful to him for being his friend, having faith in him, and being so brilliant. In addition to being an excellent actor, he called him an excellent friend. Kher assured Swami that years from now, people will remember him for his portrayal of Major Srini.

Collaboration between Lower Middle Class Corporation, Anupam Kher Studios, and NFDC makes Tanvi The Great possible. Oscar winner M.M. Keeravani (who composed music for Bimbisara, RRR, and Pelli SandaD) composed the score. The release date of the film has not been revealed yet.
