HBO’s limited crime series Task premiered on MAX and JioHotstar for a global audience. Task comes from the creator (Brad Ingelsby) of Kate Middleton’s hit crime drama Mare of Easttown. Mark Ruffalo headlines Task as an FBI special agent who forms a task team or squad to investigate a string of robberies in the town of Philadelphia. The story centers around Tom Brandis, who is forced to lead a new task force after rejoining the services post a family tragedy. He and his investigative squad hunt down a criminal behind a string of home invasions and robberies. Tom Pelphrey plays the dark-minded robber in the series. The star-studded ensemble features the likes of Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raul Castillo, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Mickey Sumner, Brian Goodman, Owen Teague, and others.
