Prajwal Devaraj is a busy man at the moment with an array of projects but his fans are raring to see him in the cop mode in Mafia. The action thriller directed by Lohith H has been in the making for quite some time but there is still no update regarding its release date. However, the makers have recently shared that the maiden teaser of the film will be released on November 29th, meaning that the road to the theatrical release could begin from that point onwards.

The team released the first glimpse of the film over a year ago and Prajwal Devaraj's intense look in the look, combined with the visuals and J. Anoop Seelin's score, impressed viewers. Mafia revolves around a human trafficking nexus and how the central character, a super-efficient cop named D. Sathyanarayana, brings it down with his unorthodox methods forms the crux of the story. Aditi Prabhudeva, in the role of an investigative journalist, plays the female lead with Shine Shetty, Vijay Chendoor, Vasuki Vaibhav, Sadhukokila, Prajwal's father and veteran actor Devaraj and others, too, part of the cast.

With Mafia, it is evident that Prajwal Devaraj is forging a very special relationship with the cop character. He was last seen donning the avatar in Vivek Atreya's Tatsama Tadbhava (also starring Meghana Raj Sarja) and both critics and audiences noted that his measured performance as police officer Aravind Ashwathamma was one of the highlights of the film. His performance as the titular character in Inspector Vikram also impressed viewers.

On the other hand, he is currently shooting for choreographer Raja Kalai Kumar's Cheetah whose first look poster was launched earlier today, on November 23. It emerged recently that along with Megha Shetty, Sruthi Hariharan and popular Telugu actor Sunil, too, joined the cast of Cheetah. Prajwal Devaraj also has Gana up for release and has signed on to play the lead role in the pan-Indian film Jathara, directed by Telugu filmmaker Uday Nandanavanam.
