Tehran vs Fighter: Will John Abraham CLASH with Hrithik Roshan on Republic Day?

John Abraham has recently announced the release of his upcoming movie titled Tehran. Interestingly enough, it releases on Republic Day, which is so far booked by Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming movie Fighter. Thus, it appears that, for the first time ever, Hrithik Roshan will clash with John Abraham on Republic Day.

John took to Instagram to announce his collaboration with Dinesh Vijan earlier today. Not just that, the actor-producer confirmed that his movie will be a Republic Day release in 2023.

Based on true events, Tehran is also an action movie like Fighter. The movie has merely been announced so far, with no confirmation about the director, storyline or the leading actress.

On the other hand, Siddharth Anand has confirmed that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will collaborate for his movie, Fighter. The film has been in the works for a long time and the makers decided to finally release it on January 26, 2023 i.e. Republic Day in the year 2023.

The movie sees Hrithik in the role of an air force pilot. Deepika’s role is still kept under the wraps.

This is not the first time when either John or Hrithik opted for a Republic Day release. They both have picked the release date and clashed with big names thanks to their habit of releasing the movie on January 26.

John has clashed with Akshay Kumar on various occasions. His upcoming release Attack was also slated to release on Republic Day in 2022. However, the film’s release had to be pushed owing to the COVID-19 situation.

On the other hand, Hrithik had famously clashed with Shah Rukh Khan on Republic Day. He released his film Kaabil, directed by Sanjay Gupta, co-starring Yami Gautam, on the same day as Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. The Rahul Dholakia directorial also introduced Mahira Khan to Bollywood.

Ranbir Kapoor's next movie with Luv Ranjan is also likely to release on Republic Day 2023. While the makers have not made any official announcement regarding the film yet, the latest update was that the movie was also slated to release on January 26, 2023. Looks like clash of the titans, indeed!
