Prasanth Varma directs the superhero film produced by Primeshow Entertainment
HanuMan is gearing up for a grand release this Sankranthi season. While it may sound like a darkhorse amidst biggies like Eagle, Guntur Kaaram, Naa Saami Ranga and Saindhav, it would be grossly wrong to underestimate its box office potential. The makers of the superhero saga have spent nearly a year into its post production and are finally readying all formalities for release.
Produced by Niranjan Reddy under Primeshow Entertainment and directed by Prasanth Varma, HanuMan is a mythological fantasy headlined by Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. With the superb promotional material, the film has attracted the attention of buyers across languages. Now, the team has closed the deal for Nizam area distribution.
Leading banner Mythri Movie Makers, which distributed Prabhas record-breaking hit Salaar, has acquired the Nizam (Telangana) rights for a fancy price. With tension among the Sankranthi release for the allocation of theatres in Telugu states, the association with a banner like Mythri, is a shot in the arm for team HanuMan. The film will at least release in 400 screens in AP, Telangana.
While HanuMan may take some time to reach its target audience in the Telugu audience, it could do pathbreaking business in the Hindi-speaking markets, with the allocation of nearly 1500 screens. HanuMan’s producers Primeshow Entertainment join hands with Nirvana Cinemas for the overseas release of the film. ZEE5 has bagged the post-release OTT rights of the fantasy saga.
Recently, Ravi Teja had also given his consent to lend his voice to a character - Koti - in the film. Other actors in HanuMan include Raj Deepak Shetty, Vennela Kishore, Getup Srinu and Satya. The film has three composers Gowra Hari, Anudeep Dev and Krishna Saurabh with Sivendra Dasaradhi and Saibabu Talari handling cinematography and editing duties. Sri Nagendra Tangala is the production designer.
