The producers of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film, Tejas, might find themselves entangled in a legal battle as Mayank Madhur, who claims to have worked on the film, has expressed his intention to take legal action against them.

Tejas, directed by Sarvesh Mewara, showcases the extraordinary journey of Air Force pilot Tejas Gill and is slated for release in October.

Mayank, who identifies himself as a political advisor working for the BJP, alleges that he played a crucial role in obtaining shooting permissions for various locations, including air force bases and other places in Delhi, Moradabad, and Lucknow, after Kangana faced difficulties in securing them for two years.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mayank said that Sarvesh initially promised him a 15-minute role in Tejas, but the length of his role gradually diminished. Eventually, he was asked to appear for a mere 1 or 2 minutes, to which he expressed his disinterest.

Mayank has also claimed that Kangana assured him of being credited as an associate producer in Tiku Weds Sheru, but his name only appeared under special thanks. He further alleged that Kangana had promised to pay his fees before the film's release, but she has now left the matter to the film's makers.

Dissatisfied, Mayank has decided to take legal recourse and plans to file a case against the producers of Tejas. He wants to halt the film's release and seeks the arrest of the makers.

Mayank mentioned seeking guidance from a former Chief Justice of India and consulting with the Chief Ministers, PMO, and Home Ministry to expedite the issuance of arrest warrants from various states.

While he refrained from disclosing specifics regarding the timing or the court he plans to approach, Mayank emphasised his commitment to following legal procedures.

In a previous interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Mayank had mentioned his association with Kangana since her theatre days and claimed to have helped her secure shooting permissions for several films, including Dhaakad, Tejas, Tiku Weds Sheru, and Emergency.

Apart from Tejas, Kangana is also working on her directorial debut, Emergency, in which she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It is scheduled to hit theatres on November 24.
