Tekka cast and crew members celebrate its success, Prosenjit Chatterjee joins Dev

Diwali is upon us and Kolkata is all lit up with fairy lights. Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka, which was released during Durga Puja, impressed the box office.The success party took place at a city pub on October 29. Dev was there not only as an actor, but as a producer, who hosted the guests.  

In a black attire, Dev dazzled. He politely said, ‘I always trusted Bengali people. I know that people will go to the theater if the film is good. Hindi cinema is no obstacle here.” 

People asked for selfies with Dev. Dev did not turn anyone down. He admitted, “I was initially sceptical whether people would accept a hostage drama.” He was relieved after watching the film. Dev then turned to Rukmini who was standing beside him and smiled, “It took 17 years for me to do a Tekka. Rukmini took only seven years.” 

Prosenjit Chatterjee came at night. Atanu Roychoudhury and Ishaa saha were also at the party. Bumbada embraced Dev and told the reporters, “Tekka is the story of three heroes – Dev, Rukmini, and Swastika.” The celebration cake then came to the table. Sujan Neel Mukherjee, Aryann Bhowmik, Srija Dutta, and others were there. 

This is a remarkable film for Rukmini as well. How does she feel? Rukmini said, “Srijita relied on me. But I don’t trust myself. I was scared whether I could do it. At last, I saw that I could.” She added, “Each character I play proves herself.” She donned an unconventional look in the film. She became manly with short hair. What if she cut her hair instead of taking a wig? Rukmini said that she had other projects, and hence it was not possible. “I did photoshoots with the wig. That photo too went viral.” 

People want viral ‘Maya’ every Puja. Rukmini, while handling her yellow gown, sweetly smiled, “Do you think so? Srijitda hinted that if people wanted, Maya could return in his cop universe as the assistant of Prabir Roychoudhury.”
