Tekka - Srijit Mukherji takes a dig at trolls who attacked Parambrata after his wedding

Parambrata Chatterjee and his girlfriend Piya Chakraborty tied the know later last year. Piya – a mental health worker and an academician – happened to be married to Anupam Roy before getting separated a few years ago. Ever since Parambrata and Piya got married, they were trolled by a group of netizens. In fact, Anupam too was dragged into the trolling. 

Recently, it was heard that Parambrata would be seen in a special role in Srijit Mukherjo’s film Tekka. Anupam Roy is the composer of the film. On December 31, Srijit, Anupam, and others went to Jisshu Sengupta’s house to celebrate the New Year. There, the video of Srijit and Anupam's jamming went viral. Soon, it was heard that Parambrata would not be cast in Tekka, starring Dev, Rukmini Maitra, and Swastika Mukherjee. Parambrata’s character will be portrayed by Tota Roychoudhury. 

Srijit then posted his photo with Parambrata on social media on Wednesday afternoon. Rukmini was also there in the photo. Parambrata put a hand on Srijit's shoulder. Srijit sarcastically wrote, “Srijit spread warmth....He can’t decide...Once by Anupam’s side, and then by Param’s side... Please see the photo.” 

Why did Parambrata withdraw himself from Tekka? It is reported that he is currently busy with his directorial venture Ei Rat Tomar Amar. He has several Bollywood projects, too. Hence, by a joint decision, he withdrew from the project. Anupam is not related to this decision. 

Paran Banerjee will also play a role in Tekka. The shooting will start soon and the film is to be released during Durga Puja.
