Telangana has given birth to some of the most legendary rulers, modern-day greats across various arenas over the years. With direct references to the land in epics Ramayana, Mahabharata and being witness to the glory of Kakatiya, Satavahana eras besides being the birthplace of poet Bammera Pothana, warrior queen Rudrama Devi, former PV Narasimha Rao, Telangana’s historical significance can’t be ignored.

A new Telugu web series titled Telangana Tyagadhanulu is in the works to celebrate personalities who’ve made the land proud with their body of work and sacrifices across ages. Nagabala Suresh Kumar will be directing the show while it is being produced by V Vijay Kumar (of Vision VVK Films), a popular industrialist who’s made his presence felt in the real estate sector.

The theme song of the web series ‘Vandanam Vandanam Telangana Tyagadhanulaku Ide Vandanam’ was unveiled by actress Roja Ramani yesterday. Venigalla Rambabu wrote the lyrics for the song composed by music director Khuddus.The event organised to launch the show was graced by FDC chairman Kurmachalam, director Relangi Narasimha Rao, producers Raj Kandukuri, Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana, Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan.

Kurmachalam sounded the clapboard for the show that’ll reportedly be made on a huge budget. The attendees hailed the makers’ attempt to highlight the many successful, heroic stories from the land of revolution and felt the digital medium would do justice to tell their stories on a wide canvas and reach the right audience base.

V Vijay Kumar, who has completed over four decades as an industrialist, said he hasn’t entered the entertainment industry to make money but to tell stories that’ll have posterity and celebrate the state’s rich history. He promised to offer a great experience to audiences with the show and stated that the OTT platform will be announced once the shoot of the first season is wrapped up.

Director Nagabala Suresh Kumar said that his intent behind the show was to tell the world about Telangana history and reach audiences through the digital medium. Our history has scopes to last anywhere from 50-500 episodes on OTT, he opined. He applauded the producer’s intent to make a great show, looking beyond monetary benefits and thanked lyricist Venigalla Rambabu garua and composer Khuddus garu for coming up with a terrific theme song.
