Telugu film Eakam makes it to the top 10 list on Amazon Prime Video, director B Varun Vamsi ecstatic!

Eakam, helmed by first-time director B Varun Vamsi, is a Telugu film produced jointly by A Kalyan Sastry, Pooja M and Sriram K under Ananda Thoughts and Samskruthi Productions. The film, shot in a brief span in Hyderabad, made it to theatres on October 29, 2021, and drew praise from several critics upon release. Eakam had its digital release on Amazon Prime Video recently and is being widely watched by viewers across the globe.

Within ten days of its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video, Eakam has made its way to the top 10 list under the Telugu language section on the platform. Aberaam Varma, Swetha Varma, Tanikella Bharani, Aditi Myakal and Kalpika Ganesh form the primary characters in the film, who represent the five elements of nature viz. earth, fire, wind, water, and sky. 

It's a new age philsophical drama with an interesting blend of modern-day complexities and spirituality that also works as a satire on the society and the stereotypes it forces people to fall under. No wonder, the innovative theme that discusses the oneness of human souls has drawn eyeballs of audiences minus regional, language barriers. Jose Franklin had scored the music for the film edited by Srinivas Thota.

Iqbal Azmi has cranked the camera for the film while Hema Prakash is its executive producer. Eakam is presented by Boyapati Raghu.
