Music show Telugu Indian Idol 2 has been one of the biggest success stories for Telugu OTT platform aha in 2023. Despite a new host and a change in the panel of judges, the show won over many more music enthusiasts across the globe who consistently watched episodes every week in the last three months. Hemachandra hosted the second season whose judges are S Thaman, Geetha Madhuri and Karthik.

Allu Arjun was the chief guest for the finale held this weekend over two episodes. The finale comprised performances by five contestants - Karthikeya (Hyderabad), Jayaram (Hyderabad), Soujanya Bhagavathula (Visakhapatnam), Lasya Priya (Siddipet) and Sruthi Nanduri (New Jersey). All the finalists performed several hits from the films of the Pushpa 2 star, who generously gifted them interesting merchandise to encourage their talent.

In a tightly fought contest, it was Soujanya Bhagavathula, who also crooned for Arjun Reddy and was nicknamed Soujanya Ghoshal in the show, who ultimately won the title. Allu Arjun crowned her as the winner in the second finale episode that streamed on aha this evening. Jayaram and Lasya Priya secured the first and second runners-up positions respectively.

Soujanya Bhagavathula, expressing her happiness, shared that it was a dream-come-true moment to win aha Telugu Indian Idol 2 and be crowned by Allu Arjun. She thanked the latter for his words of encouragement and appreciation. Telugu Indian Idol 2 taught me the power of perseverance and I’ll be indebted to aha, the judges, the viewers and talented contestants, she said.

“This victory is not just mine; it belongs to everyone who has supported and encouraged me. I will cherish this moment forever and strive for excellence in my musical journey,” Soujanya added. Allu Arjun stated he was thrilled to be a part of the finale and congratulated Soujanya for winning the title. He credited the contestant’s husband and their family for supporting her throughout the show. Soujanya has already bagged an opportunity to croon for S Thaman's upcoming album.
