Telugu Indian Idol release date: When and where to watch the reality show featuring Sreerama Chandra, Nithya Menen, Thaman, Karthik on OTT

Indian Idol, one of the major singing shows in the television industry that kept audiences, contestants on their toes and gave a huge platform for emerging talents across the country to make a mark, is coming to Telugu. Hosted by Sreerama Chandra, Telugu Indian Idol brings together actress Nithya Menen, composer Thaman and singer Karthik as the judges. For a change, the show isn't coming on television but on OTT. Telugu Indian Idol, starting on February 25, will air on Friday, Saturday for an hour starting at 9 pm.

The online and offline auditions for Telugu Indian Idol commenced in December 2021 on a grand note in Hyderabad and virtually with applications from Telugu-speaking contestants coming in from all over the globe, including countries like US, UK and more. While this is Nithya Menen and Thaman's reality show debut, Karthik has served as a judge in the past for several seasons of Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs/Seniors in Tamil besides Sun Singer. Sreerama Chandra, the singer who shot to fame with his Indian Idol win, is also hosting a show for the first time.

aha has made its presence felt in the non-fiction space already with Unstoppable with NBK, Sarkaar, Sam Jam, All is Well, aha Bhojanambu and Chef Mantra, to name a few and the platform is trying to capture a huge market by foraying into the music segment as well. With music being an untapped segment in the Telugu OTT space besides the presence of big names in the judges, host for this show, Telugu Indian Idol is expected to start with a bang. The tone has been set for the show with an engrossing promo that has us craving for more.
