Telugu Indian Idol: S Thaman, Karthik, Nithya Menen to judge aha reality show

Telugu Indian Idol has got its star panel of judges who will take on the role of encouraging a new host of singers through the upcoming reality show. Popular singer and music composer, S Thaman; playback singer Karthik and actor-singer Nithya Menen will be on the judging panel of aha’s upcoming singing competition series.

A spirited promo for the same was unveiled by the streamer recently as well, on their official social media handles. The promo, almost a minute long, gives viewers a taste of the extraordinary talent of the three musical geniuses as we get to see each of them take the stage and treat us to their powerful vocals. As the clip nears its end, we also get to hear the familiar Indian Idol jingle that serves as the trademark of the popular show.

aha had announced the new singing reality competition last year in December. The show had also started auditions for contestants the same month, and they were conducted both online and in offline modes.

The upcoming show is a regional spin-off of the popular Indian Idol, which airs on the Sony Entertainment Television channel. The show, in itself, is the Hindi version of the British reality show titled Pop Idol and has also spawned spin-offs such as Indian Idol Junior. The Hindi language Indian Idol had aired over 12 seasons and has featured popular singers such as Neha Kakkar and Bhoomi Trivedi on the show.

Telugu Indian Idol will premiere on aha on February 25, 2022, at 9 PM. New episodes will arrive every Saturday and Sunday.
