Today was the first episode of the Indian version of the international reality show ‘Temptation Island’, which happens to be one of the most talked about reality shows on social media and even otherwise. The hosts for Temptation Island India, as announced earlier Karan Kundrra and Mouni Roy. Since today was the first ever episode of the show, let us have a detailed review of the same.
Introduction of the couple participants
The show ‘Temptation Island’ started off with the basic introduction of the participants who will be playing as couples. These couple participants include Chetna and Nishank, Nidhi and Mohak, Nikita and Tayne, and Chestha and Arjun. Well, after the self introduction round, it was time for the couple to speak about each other in front of Karan Kundrra and Mouni Roy. While a bunch of ladies called their respective boyfriends as flirts and other like terms, there were also a participant who revealed that, while it took years for him to ‘pataao’ his girl, it is impossible that she will get ‘pataao-ed’ by any other guy in the house.
Introduction of the single participants
This was followed by the introduction of the singles before the couples. These singles included contestants including Navisha Raj Kashyap, Faiz Baloch, Jad Hadid, Aryan Arora, Satyam Tyagi, Vaibhav Gandhi, DJ Nikhil, Zen Sajnani, Samadh Choudhary, Ruma Sharma, Urvi Shetty, Mahim Seth, Shraddha Tiwari, Simran Khagta, Neha Anand and Rajvi. Amidst all this, there was also a performance by the very talented singer Zahrah Khan, who entertained everyone with her song and dance.
Jad Hadid-the temptation?
As the name ‘Temptation India’ suggests, the ‘temptation’ in the first ever episode of the show came in the form of the ex-Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Jad Hadid, who is now a ‘single’ contestant in the show. There was a moment when Arjun fom the couples’ gang went and helped the ‘single’ lady Navisha with her performance. Seizing this opportunity, Jad Hadid came forward and kissed the hand of Chestha, whose boyfriend is Arjun.
Our verdict:
Since today’s was the first episode, all that we can say is that, it was definitely not at all worth the hype which had been built about the show since many days. In a nutshell, Temptation Island India seems to be heavily inspired by MTV Splitsvilla. We also know, agree and understand that, it’s too early to even pass on our verdict about the whole show. That’s why, just like everyone else, we too, will wait and watch!
