Tere Ishk Mein song Usey Kehna OUT: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon express unspoken emotions in AR. Rahman's soulful melody

Tere Ishk Mein, starring Kriti Sanon and Dhanush, is one of the most-awaited romance-musical films of 2025. Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film will be released in Hindi and Tamil on November 28, 2025. Ahead of the release and following the love for the title track, the makers have unveiled a new song, Usey Kehna.

Another Tere Ishk Mein song, Usey Kehna, featuring Kriti Sanon and Dhanush, was unveiled on November 3. Composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, this track highlights the emotional atmosphere of the film, presenting an intense love story through music that soothes the soul. 

In the music video, Kriti and Dhanush reveal their emotional expressions and present touching moments of the film's growing love story. It highlights Mukti’s (Kriti Sanon) emotional journey and deepens the emotional connection between the lead characters. The lyrics of the song are penned by Irshad Kamil, and vocals are by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi. 

A. R. Rahman on Usey Kehna

Talking about the melody, Rahman said in a statement that Usey Kehna, was inspired by when they travelled to Himachal and witnessed the reflection of the mountains in the Ganges. "Everything around inspired the creation of the melody, inspiring our teams Aanand L Rai, Irshad Kamil, Himanshu and it evolved into something which is just the bare minimum of just the piano, strings and a newfound voice of Nitesh. I hope people enjoy it and feel the same way we felt creating it," he said. 

Speaking about the song, director-producer Aanand L Rai said that music is the strongest form of magic and he has had the privilege to watch A. R. Rahman create it. "Usey Kehna is another gem, straight from our hearts," he said. 

Meanwhile, Tere Ishk Mein actor Priyanshu Painyuli expressed his excitement to work with Dhanush and Kriti. He said that it is surreal to be a part of a story that began with Raanjhanaa, a film that has had such a lasting cultural and emotional impact. 

"With Tere Ishk Mein, the narrative is being taken forward in a fresh, larger-than-life way, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this cinematic journey.
