The makers of Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii dropped the teaser of its first romantic track titled Teri Aankhon Mein. The upcoming song glimpses the on-screen chemistry of the cinematic legends Jayalalithaa and MGR. Featuring Kangana and Arvind Swamy as a romantic jodi, the track is rendered by Armaan Malik and Prajakta Shukre for G.V Prakash Kumar’s music. The lyrics of the song is penned by Irshad Kamil.
The teaser video shows the duo in retro attires as the story tells the tale of late actor Jayalalithaa. The small clip also indicates that the forthcoming song will “look back at the timeless love story.” Kangana as Jayalalithaa is seen beautifully sporting a yellow saree with floral prints and white roses clipped on her long hair, while Arvind is seen as MGR wearing a set of pant-shirt with a tie. Both are seen taping their feet together in an artificial romantic set with a small fountain.
Apart from Hindi, the adorable track is also set to release in Tamil and Telugu languages titled Unthan Kangalil Ennadiyo and Nee Kannullo Emunnado, respectively, on August 30.
Kangana shared the teaser video on her Instagram account and captioned, “#TeriAankhonMein beautifully captures the essence of falling in love Relive the magical era of Jayalalithaa-MGR with the romantic tunes of #TeriAankhonMein #UnthanKangalilEnnadiyo #NeeKannulloEmunnado.
