Shahid Kapoor collaborated with actress Kriti Sanon for the first time for a Bollywood film. They joined forces for a romantic comedy movie, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film hit the silver screen on February 9, 2024. TBMAUJ opened to mixed reviews from audiences as well as critics upon its theatrical release. Despite that, the film has managed to earn around Rs 35 crore (including day five figures) at the box office.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya minted Rs 3.85 crore at the box office. For those who are unaware, Shahid and Kriti's film witnessed a drop in its collection on day 4, with the movie only earning Rs 3.65 crore. It was a massive drop as TBMAUJ had collected Rs 10.75 crore on day three at the box office.
Considering the five-day box office figures of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, the total domestic collection now stands at Rs 34.60 crore. It remains to be seen if TBMAUJ continues to maintain a steady pace or sees a further dip in its box office collection.
Meanwhile, the makers of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya shared theofficial worldwide box office figures of the movie. Maddock Films updated the audience with information that the Shahid and Kriti-starrer earned Rs 55.10 crore (gross) over its first weekend.
Interestingly, TBMAUJ became Shahid Kapoor's biggest overseas opening film. With USD 2.4M, the film also achieved the feat of highest overseas weekend collection, thereby shattering Kabir Singh's record.
As far as the film's star cast is concerned, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya features Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra. Janhvi Kapoor also has a special appearance in the film. It is being said that she will play a crucial role in the second installment of TBMAUJ.
