Despite receiving critical panning, the crowd adored the romantic sci-fi entertainer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Both domestically and internationally, the film was a smashing success, earning over Rs. 85 crore nett. The film's financial success persists even in the face of competing releases.
As per the latest reports, on April 5, Prime Video will host the digital premiere of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulja Jiya. This Shahid Kapoor vehicle follows the standard eight-week OTT window arrangement for Hindi films. Because of this, the digital premiere of the film will not take place until April 5. The streaming platform has not yet issued an official announcement.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya depicts the romantic relationship between Aryan (Shahid), a robotics engineer, and SIFRA (Kriti), a robot that resembles a person. Returning to India for an arranged marriage, Aryan realises that he can't let go of SIFRA. Thus begins a series of errors as she starts living with his family, and their wedding festivities begin.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya had a total worldwide gross of Rs. 129.8 crore, with Rs. 92.45 crore earned in India and Rs. 37.35 crore earned overseas as of March 2024 Week 1.
With the film, Shahid returned to the romantic genre after a very long time. Earlier, while talking about the same, the actor said at the trailer launch that, honestly, it is the most challenging genre to master, but he has really missed engaging in something light and enjoyable. In a month, he listens to ten scripts. Many people are unaware of this, but they actually listen to a significant number of scripts. Even if I hear the words make more film, he really struggles to discover stories that make him feel like he is giving the audience something fresh. As far as acting genres go, love stories are the hardest.
Aradhana Sah and Amit Joshi co-directed this film, starring Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, and Anubha Fatepuria. Dinesh Vijayan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar produced the film under the names Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
