Test OTT release date: When, where to watch Nayanthara, Madhavan and Siddharth’s sports drama

We had earlier reported that actors Nayanthara, Madhavan and Siddharth are set to star in the Tamil film titled Test. The film will be a direct-to-OTT release, and is all set to premiere on Netflix. The streaming giant, on Thursday, announced that Test will premiere on April 4.

Netflix, the streaming giant, announced its new content slate recently. As part of it, it also announced the Tamil film titled Test, featuring Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth in the lead roles. Now, Netflix has announced the release date. It will premiere on April 4. Test will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.

“A compelling human drama where three lives intertwine beyond and because of the cricket field, each forced to make a choice that changes everything,” reads the plot of the film as per Netflix.

Starring Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth, along with Meera Jasmine, this film marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration between these performers and is also Netflix’s first original Tamil film of the year. It is written and directed by S Sashikanth in his directorial debut.

The film is backed by Sashikanth’s home banner YNOT Studios. Speaking about Test, Sashikanth said in a statement, “This film is about resilience, the weight of choices, and how life itself is the greatest test of all. Bringing together three powerhouse performers — R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth — for the first time made this journey even more special.”

Test is Netflix's first original film of the year and calling it a drama thriller, Monika Shergill, Vice-President, Content, Netflix India, revealed the plot of the film, “that tests the moral thresholds of its three protagonists played by the powerhouse talents R. Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth. Set against the backdrop of high-stakes cricket, it's an emotional rollercoaster that puts the lives of a national level cricketer, a genius scientist and a passionate teacher on a collision course and forces them to make choices that test their ambition, sacrifice and courage.”

Singer Shakthishree Gopalan will be making her debut as composer with Test.
