Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar’s latest film Thaai Kizhavi has just done that. The Tamil film, produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan, has been performing well at the box office and hit Rs 10 crore in its weekend earnings, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. What is the Thaai Kizhavi movie day 3 box office collection
The 2026 Tamil film Thaai Kizhavi, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar in the titular role, opened to mostly positive responses which is reflecting on the box office collections as well. The film, which opened with Rs 2.65 crore on February 27, went on to double its earnings on day 2 with Rs 5 crore. Helmed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film further improved its earnings and made Rs 6 crore on day 3 (first Sunday) at the box office. The total India net collection of Thaai Kizhavi is at Rs 13.65 crore, the Sacnilk website has reported.
The other Tamil film to release along with Thaai Kizhavi is Aazhi, which incidentally stars Radikaa’s husband actor Sarathkumar. But Aazhi opened to middling reviews and has been struggling at the box office.
But Thaai Kizhavi faces its crucial test on Monday and remains to be seen if the Tamil film is able to maintain its hold over the box office during the working days.

The Thaai Kizhavi movie is about an elderly woman, Pavunthaayi, in Madurai, who lends money to the residents and does not give into her adult sons’ demands for a share in the family property. But when the matriarch is on her deathbed, they get to know of valuables that she has hidden and sets out to find those.
Debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan has also penned the movie, which gives a humorous tale.
