Thaai Kizhavi is an upcoming Tamil film slated for release soon in theatres. Headlined by actor Radikaa Sarathkumar, Thaai Kizhavi is a backed by Sivakarthikeyan. While the film has been getting good word of mouth already, the films trailer is set to be released soon. It will drop on Monday, the makers announced on social media.

Thaai Kizhavi is billed to be a rural comedy drama, which will star Radikaa in the lead titular role. Written and directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, the film will feature the veteran actor as a boisterous, extroverted middle-aged woman who is feared by all in the village. Recently, Kamal Haasan had watched the film in a special screening and had appreciated the makers. Thaai Kizhavi is set to hit big screens on February 27. It was earlier planned for February 20, but was later pushed by a week.

The cast includes actors Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca and others in supporting roles. After its theatrical run, Thaai Kizhavi will stream on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.

Even before the release of Thaai Kizhavi, Sivakumar Murugesan has bagged his next directorial. Titled Seyon, the film will have Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, and Kamal Haasan bankroll the project. Billed to be a rural drama, the makers had released the teaser of the film which features Sivakarthikeyan in a divine and possessed state. Seyon is slated for theatrical release sometime in October this year. Santhosh Narayanan is scoring music for the film, with the film going on floors in March.
