Unlike the past few years, Malayalam star Nivin Pauly seems to be in no mood for a break between his films. After back-to-back releases with Liju Krishna’s Padavettu and Rosshan Andrrews’ Saturday Night, the Premam actor has begun shooting for Vinay Govind’s Thaaram, which he will also be producing.
The team held the pooja function of the film, which marks Vinay’s third directorial after Kili Poyi and Kohinoor, in Manali on Thursday. The movie will have the Malayalam film industry as the backdrop and reportedly has Nivin essaying the role of an actor.
Apart from Nivin, Thaaram also has Nikhila Vimal, Kayadu Lohar, Namita Krishnamurthy, Vinay Forrt and Krishna Sankar in pivotal roles. Scripted by subtitler Vivek Ranjit, the film is touted to be a fun entertainer with comedy and romance.
Nivin and Krishna will be teaming up again after their superhits Premam and Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela with Thaaram. Recently, the actor had collaborated with his friend Siju Wilson for Saturday Nights, which is once again a comedy entertainer.
Talking about working with friends, Nivin, in a recent interview with OTTplay, said, “Rarely do you get a chance to work with your childhood friends in movies, and that too in such an entertainer that is directed by Rosshan chettan and made on a big scale. Each of us had our own journeys in films and returned to collaborate again for this film. So, there was that excitement after a long time.”
The actor also admitted that he loves doing entertainers but movies of such genre are always tricky because there is always a risk of the humour not working with the audience as expected by the makers.
Nivin, meanwhile, has also completed shooting his second direct Tamil venture, director Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, which is touted to be an intense love story also featuring Soori and Anjali.
