After starring in the 2022 Malayalam film 19(1)(a), actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen joined hands once again for the Tamil film Thalaivan Thalaivii. The romantic family drama hit theatres on Friday (July 25). After its theatrical run, the film will be made on Prime Video which has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights.

In Thalaivan Thalaivii, Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen play a married couple whose marital life goes haywire and chaotic after the duo gets into fight constantly. Their constant fights, bickering, and anger towards each other drive the couple mad, and the others around them. Directed by Pandiraaj known for his family sentiment films, Thalaivan Thalaivii is a family drama with romance and commercial factors. Pandiraaj's last directorial was the 2022 Suriya starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan.
