The latest Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii has been capturing many eyeballs and is one of the most-hyped films of recent times. Adding more to this excitement, the actress today shared a picture of her parents and their reaction after watching her performance in her Instagram story.
The couple were posing with the iconic ‘V’ gesture and seemed to be very excited and happy. “Mummy papa after watching the film Thalaivii...said congratulations for 5th National Award”, wrote the actress in the picture. Her parents look to be confident about her work and have predicted their daughter is going to head up towards her next national award with the movie.
Meanwhile, the actress had also shared a picture of herself from the film in her Instagram feed, with a note of gratitude and quoting her journey throughout the film. Though the team had many obstacles and challenges, they have overcome it all for Jaya Amma and cinema, she wrote. She also asked the audience to give the film a chance when it reaches the theatres on Friday. She revealed that she is already overwhelmed by the responses and is eagerly looking forward to the public’s reaction.
Thalaivii, the biographical film helmed by A L Vijay is based on the renowned actress-politician Jayalalitha and portrays the different stages of her life. Journeying her career as an actress, to becoming the star face of Tamil cinema, the movie touches all major aspects of her life. The rise of Jayalalitha to a revolutionary politician is also covered.
Besides Kangana, the movie stars Arvind Swami as M G Ramachandran. Talented actors like Shamna Kasim, Raj Arjun, and Bhagyashree too are in the frontline of the cast. Shot simultaneously in three languages, the movie will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu on September 10.
