Thalapathy 66 first look on Vijay's birthday?

If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, the first look from Vijay's Thalapathy 66 will be out on June 22. The film's producer, we hear has planned it for the special occasion. A social media handle sharing news about the film wrote, " #Thalapathy66 First look is planned to release on @actorvijay's Birthday 🎉🔥 - Producer #DilRaju (sic)."

Last evening, pictures of Thalapathy Vijay travelling in a car in Hyderabad had gone viral on the internet. In the meantime, ace comedian Yogi Babu, too has joined the sets in Hyderabad. The duo had worked together in films like Beast, Sarkar, Bigil and Mersal. However, they didn't team up for Master.

Actor Shaam, who recently confirmed being part of Thalapathy66, has begun has begun shooting for the film. The actor shared the update on his social media page with a picture of the camera used for filing and captioned it, "#thalapathy66 #actorshaam #thalapathyvijay #shaam #shootday. 

Thalapathy66 has Rashmika Mandanna playing the leading lady. This is her second film in Tamil after her debut with Karthi's Sulthan last year. This is the first time that she is teaming up with Vijay. The shoot for the film began last month with a formal puja ceremony in Chennai. 

The rest of the star cast comprises Sarathkumar and Prakash Raj. Interestingly, Prakash Raj and Vijay are teaming up for a film after a long hiatus. They had earlier worked together in Nerukku Ner, Ghilli, Sivakasi, Pokkiri and Villu. The shoot is going in full swing in Hyderabad.

Music for the film is by Thaman. Cinematography is by Kharthik Phalani and editing is by Praveen KL Prabhu. The film is directed by popular Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally. This is his second film in Tamil after Thozha that starred Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamanaah in the lead.
