The first look of Vijay’s Thalapathy 66 will be unveiled on June 21 at 6.01 pm.

The most anticipated first look of Thalapathy 66, starring Vijay in the lead, will be out on June 21 at 6:01 pm. It is tradition for the actor's recent films to unveil the first look ahead of his birthday (June 22). Hearsay is that the first look will be launched in the form of a motion poster.
With the announcement, the makers released a poster in black and white, which featured Vijay with a backpack and a map. This gives an impression that he might play a traveller in the film.
It was Vijay's Kaththi that set a motion poster trend in Tamil cinema, and it was also his last film to have a motion poster. Movie buffs will see a fresh avatar of Vijay in the film, as the actor completed a photo shoot for the first look. While the Tamil title is said to be its translated version, Vaarisu, the Telugu title is said to be Vaarisudu.
Thalapathy 66, has an ensemble cast that includes Rashmika Mandanna, Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Yogi Babu, Shaam, Srinath, Sangeetha, and Samyuktha Shanmuganathan.
Touted as a family-centric story, Thalapathy 66 has music by Thaman and there are reports that Mahesh Babu will make a cameo appearance. According to the makers, Thalapathy 66 will have a compelling storyline, as well as an engaging cast, a wide variety of action and interesting elements. In addition, the film will have enjoyable songs, too.
The filming of Thalapathy 66 was halted for a few days, as photos from the sets were leaked. The crew had erected a set in a residential area on ECR then. Eventually, the makers had to change the location of the shoot.
Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film that has cinematography by Kharthik Palani is scheduled for a Pongal 2023 release.
