Thalapathy 66: Vijay to sport two well-defined looks in the Vamshi Paidipally film?

We had told you the first schedule of Thalapathy 66, starring Vijay in the lead, was wrapped up. The makers announced it via Twitter recently, adding some key portions had been shot, as well. The latest we hear is that Vijay will sport two different looks, and one of those will appear in the flashback. However, we await official confirmation on the same. Additionally, we are told Vijay plays the father of two children in Thalapathy 66.

Child artistes Harshitha Karthik and Advaith Vinod shared their experiences of teaming up with Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally on Thalapathy 66. Taking to Instagram, both of them said they were eagerly waiting for the second schedule of the shooting. Notably, Harshitha was seen in Vijay's previous outing, Beast and Advaith played Keerthy Suresh’s son in Penguin.

Thalapathy 66 went on floors this April. The film has Rashmika Mandanna of Pushpa-fame, essaying the female lead's role. Team Thalapathy 66 was shooting in Chennai for 25 days, after which they went to Hyderabad.

Thalapathy 66, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is bankrolled by Dil Raju and Sirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film has music by Thaman. Sarathkumar, Shaam, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Telugu actor Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shaan, Jayasudha, and others, form the supporting cast.

Multiple reports claim that this Tamil-Telugu bilingual will be a pucca family entertainer with a dose of drama and romance. Unlike Thalapathy Vijay's previous films, Vamshi will portray him in the role of a family man. To make his character more authentic, the makers have decided not to have any action sequences featuring the star.

The story and screenplay are credited to Paidipally, Hari and Ashishor Solomon, with dialogues and additional screenplay by lyricist Vivek, while Deepali Noor is the costume designer.

Dil Raju was quoted in Cinema Express, as saying, Thalapathy 66 marks his first collaboration with Vijay, and he was looking forward to it.

Thalapathy 66 has been confirmed to hit the screens for Pongal 2023. The film has cinematography by Karthick Palani and editing by Praveen KL. Sri Harshith Reddy and Sri Hanshitha are the co-producers of the film, with Sunil Babu and Vaishnavi Reddy as the production designers.

Up next, Vijay will team up with Lokesh Kanagaraj on Thalapathy 67. And, if everything goes well, Atlee and Vijay are likely to join hands for Thalapathy 68. The duo had previously worked together in Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Vetrimaaran also confirmed a film with Thalapathy Vijay!

Meanwhile, the makers of Thalapathy 66 will announce the title and the first look of the film on Vijay's birthday, which is 22 June. The actor was last seen in Beast, which streams on Netflix and Sun NXT Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action-thriller hit the screens in April, for the Tamil New Year.
