The wait is finally over. The team of Thalapathy Vijay's next, which is tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy 68, is all set to drop the pooja video tomorrow at 12.05pm. AGS Entertainment, which is bankrolling the film, announced the same on its social media handle, with the caption, "Nalailirundhu #Thalapathy68 updates dhan!! @actorvijay Sir, @vp_offl @thisisysr @archanakalpathi @aishkalpathi Pooja video at 12:05 pm tomorrow (sic)."
Maiden collaboration between Venkat Prabhu and Vijay
The film marks the debut venture between the Chennai 600028 director and Leo star. Venkat Prabhu had earlier stated in an interview that it was always his dream to cast Vijay in his film and that he was working on a fantastic story that he could narrate to the star. He later made an official announcement about teaming up with Thalapathy for his next.
Cast and crew
During the film's announcement, AGS Entertainment had revealed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for the film. The last time Yuvan had worked with Vijay was for Pudhiya Geethai (2003).
. The team is yet to make an official announcement about the rest of the cast and crew. However, the names of Meenakshi Chaudhary, Priyanka Mohan, Mic Mohan, SJ Suryah, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth are now doing the rounds. It is expected that the team will reveal the deets tomorrow.
Vijay in a dual role?
Vijay had recently portrayed a dual role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo and the actor is expected to pull off yet another role, this time as father and son. The team had visited a popular Hollywood studio to work on the deaging technology, which is likely to be used in the film. The crew was accompanied by Vijay himself, who also caught up on his favourite actor Denzel Washington's The Equalizer 3. Venkat Prabhu had shared a picture of Vijay's fanboy moment, which broke the internet.
