Thalapathy 69, the final film of popular star Thalapathy Vijay before his grand political entry, is now making headlines with the major updates on its star cast. The makers of the H Vinoth directorial kickstarted the ‘Thalapathy 69 cast reveal’ today on social media, by dropping an exciting social media post. As the recent updates suggested, popular Bollywood star Bobby Deol has now officially joined the star cast of Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited project.
Recently, the makers of Thalapathy 69, KVN Productions, took to their official social media handles and dropped the first cast reveal poster of the film, featuring the Animal actor. “100% official now, Super happy & excited to announce that @thedeol joins,” reads the social media post of the production banner. If the recent updates are to be believed, Bobby Deol has been roped in to play the lead antagonist in the Thalapathy Vijay starter.
Earlier, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was rumoured to be playing a pivotal role in the H Vinoth directorial. But, the recent updates suggest that the Drishyam actor is not a part of the Thalapathy 69 cast. Similarly, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was rumoured to be in talks to play the female lead opposite Thalapathy Vijay in the film. However, the recent updates suggest that Pooja Hegde has been finalised for the role. Prakash Raj and Mamitha Baiju, the Premalu fame actress are said to be appearing in the other key roles in the film.

Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the songs and original score, for the much-awaited film. Sathyan Sooryan has reportedly joined the team, as the director of photography. The movie, scripted by director H Vinoth himself, is all set to start rolling on October 4, 2024, with a lowkey pooja ceremony. The untitled project has been slated to hit the big screens in October 2025, as an Ayudha Pooja special release.
