Thalapathy’s Beast: Crew returns to Chennai after a foreign schedule

One of the most anticipated movies in Kollywood now is Beast, which marks Vijay's 65th film. The shooting of Thalapathy’s movie commenced in the month of April after an official ceremony at Sun Pictures’s office in Chennai. After heading to Georgia and Russia for the initial schedules, the cast and crew has now returned to Chennai. The female lead of Beast, Pooja Hegde, took to Instagram to reveal the shooting spot in Chennai, which was later taken down.

Earlier, while filming in Chennai, the crew was asked to put the shooting on hold owing to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases. This took place when they were erecting the set of a shopping mall in the city. A few major portions of the movie were later filmed in Georgia where Pooja, along with other artists of the film, were also present. The shooting had also come to a standstill when they faced some adverse climatic conditions in the foreign country, after which they returned to Chennai.

The makers had released a first look and a second look of the movie on Vijay’s birthday that were celebrated by his hardcore fans. Later, an excited Pooja took to social media to share her happiness on being part of the project. She posted, “SUPER DUPER EXCITED to be onboard this grand film with the fantastic @actorvijay Smiling face Can’t wait to start shooting @Nelsondilpkumar @sunpictures @anirudhofficial Tamil cinema....here I come.... #Thalapathy65 #PoojaHegdeInThalapathy65.”

Directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, the movie has music by Anirudh Ravichandar. The film marks the third collaboration of Vijay and Anirudh, after Kaththi and Master (streaming on Amazon Prime).
