The makers of Thalavan, the investigative thriller starring Asif Ali and Biju Menon, have officially announced that there will be a sequel. People's expectations for a sequel were raised by the film's several unresolved subplots. In the meantime, Mollywood witnessed several box office successes this year that will undoubtedly have follow-ups. But audiences, particularly movie buffs, believe that the makers are not going to keep them waiting for too long.
Malaikottai Vaaliban (Disney+ Hotstar)
The audience's responses to the film, which is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, have been divided. The movie's ending sequence gave away that a sequel was already in the works. Malaikottai Vaaliban 2 is anticipated to delve into the background of the title character and his journey back to his native land.
Anweshippin Kandethum (Netflix)
The audience gave the crime thriller a lot of praise. In light of the positive reception, the makers also confirmed a sequel. Even though Anweshippin Kandethum's characters came dangerously close to catching a criminal and making amends for a previous mishandled case that led to their suspensions, they ultimately fail to get the success they deserve by the end of the film, raising expectations of a follow-up.

With "more fun and energy," the director has confirmed that Premalu 2 will be released in theatres in 2025. The group will remain the same, and Bhavana Studio will produce this project.

In the film's closing credits, the action-comedy that featured Mammootty, suggests that a sequel may be in the works. At its conclusion, Turbo opens up the possibility of a new cinematic universe starring not only the megastar's films but also other top stars from other film industries.
