The makers of the Malayalam upcoming cop drama, Thalavan, dropped its theme song today (May 10). Deepak Dev has composed the song, which is said to embody the spirit of the film. The song is sung by Anand Sreeraj and penned by the film’s director, Jis Joy.
On May 24, the investigative thriller with Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead roles will be released in theatres. Two aggressive police officers are seen in dispute in the theme song's brief scenes. But the cause of this conflict remains unclear until the movie opens in theatres.

Both the lead actors appeared on the motion poster dressed like police officers when the film was announced at the end of the previous year. The story of the ego struggle between two police officers of different ranks in Thalavan appears to be compelling for a thriller. Although the teaser does not give away much about the story, it does hint at some interesting action scenes that resemble the extremes of a man's ego.
Announcing the project in December 2023, Asif Ali and Biju Menon posted the movie poster on their official social media pages. Their fans were incredibly excited about this. Viewers praised the actors for their previous roles as police officers, which made them excellent choices for this movie.
For reasons that are currently unclear, the original release date of Thalavan was postponed. However, it's possible that the postponement was brought about by the film being offered fewer screens as a result of the highly anticipated Malayalam films of 2024 being released in February.
