Thallumaala trailer: Witness Tovino Thomas in his chaotic, quirkiest avatar yet in Khalid Rahman’s colourful entertainer

Tovino Thomas’ next on screen outing comes in the form of Thallumaala, a quirky, chaotic and colourful entertainer helmed by Khalid Rahman. As promised, the makers unveiled the highly awaited film’s trailer today, giving a glimpse into the vibrant pandemonium in store for viewers.

The trailer takes viewers through some topsy turvy moments in the life of Tovino’s Manavalan Wasim, for whom fights and chases seem to be second nature. We also see him cross paths with social media star Fatima Beevi(Kalyani Priyadarshan) and how sparks start to fly between the two. Shine Tom Chacko also makes a hilarious appearance as a cop. Rife with moments of pure chaos and mayhem, the film seems to promise to be quite an entertaining ride through and through.

Talking about his role in the film, Tovino had earlier mentioned in a social media post that he found it ‘extremely liberating’ to do a film which offered him a chance to go ‘all out’ and have fun. Tovino had further said “I remember thinking years back that there are a few things I just can't see myself doing but, when a character demands it, like in this one, you step up and show up”.

In addition to Tovino, Kalyani and Shine, the upcoming film also features Lukman Avaran and Gokulan in pivotal roles.Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza have penned the script of the upcoming film, which has been produced by Ashiq Usman. Vishnu Vijay has composed the film’s music and Nishad Yusuf has edited the film.

Thallumaala will be released in theatres on August 12.

Meanwhile, Tovino was last seen in the legal drama Vaashi, which also starred Keerthy Suresh, Anu Mohan, Anagha Narayanan and Baiju Santhosh in pivotal roles. The film will have its OTT release on July 17.
